Basil Maurice, Board Member

Basel Maurice was born in Heidelberg, Germany, on December 28, 1964.
He and his family moved to the U.S. the following year and he grew up
mostly in Ludlow, MA. He lost most of his eyesight as a child, but
pursued his education and earned a bachelor's degree in criminal
justice from Westfield State University in 1986. He has work
experience as an independent paralegal and has done volunteer work,
including as a radio operator, for emergency and rescue organizations
in the area. He works currently at Stavros Center for Independent
Living, Inc., where he has been a peer counselor since 1998.
